Tools I use.
Here are the tools I use and love for running my online stuff.
Updated: December 30, 2024.
This Website
This ozo.blog website is custom-designed by me and developed by Jurij from Varstatt.
Content is managed in Airtable, hosted on Vercel, and all changes are pushed via GitHub. This setup costs me $0/month. The only recurring cost is for website analytics, which I handle using Fathom Analytics.
If you’re looking for someone to help with a custom website or web app, I highly recommend Jurijs. You can reach out to him here. (I am not an affiliate—just a genuine recommendation. Working with him has been an absolute joy.)
Content Creation
I use Apple Notes for capturing ideas, written notes, and rough visual sketches. The polished visuals you see on socials and this website are created in Figma.
Content Distribution
I use Content Pal, a tool I co-founded, to publish and schedule content. I created it because the existing optionsc were pricey and overloaded with features I didn’t need.
My newsletter is sent via Substack.
Explain Ideas Visually Course & Community
The course and community are hosted on Circle. Videos are hosted on Vimeo (though I could transition to Circle—it’s just not done yet).
Feedback sessions are conducted with Loom—it’s super easy and convenient.
Zoom is used for office hours and events.
The landing page is built with Framer(subscribe with the partner25proyearly promo code to get 3 free months on a Pro annual subscription), and checkout is managed through Circle + Stripe.
Affiliate program is also managed by Circle.
Personal Stuff
I use Hey for calendar, email, and a few to-dos.
Zoom for meetings.
Loom for recording quick video messages.
ChatGPT for research and proofreading.
Spotify for music and podcasts, and Audible for books.
I’ve been a Mac and iPhone user for a long time and have no plans to switch. :)
Hope this helps,
Janis
